What is CBT?CBT, or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, is a well-researched and evidence-based psychotherapy. It combines two forms of therapy: Cognitive therapy, which examines how we think Behavioural therapy, which focuses on how we act CBT operates on the idea that thoughts, feelings and behaviours are interconnected. Changing one aspect can positively influence the others, helping to shift unhelpful or negative patterns and develop positive changes. It also teaches coping skills to maintain these improvements in everyday life.

Which is better, CBH or ACT?I use a blend of CBT, Hypnosis and ACT. This depends on the clients individual needs. I may use elements from each to take each client forward on their journey to living life according to their values.

What is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)ACT is an evidence-based therapy that combines Mindfulness, Acceptance (which is NOT the same as 'giving up!) and Commitment with behaviour change techniques. Its goal is to enhance psychological flexibility.
